The men at First Presbyterian Church meet to share four menu's--FELLOWSHIP-FOOD-DEVOTION and PRAYER.

Meeting Times-- MEN'S PRAYER BREAKFAST, every Wednesday 8:30 a.m.  Meets at local restaurants, contact Alan Bowman for details.  CHAT/EAT/PRAY, fourth Thursday of the month at 6 pm., contact Jim Robinson at 562-4652, for details.

Mission

The Mission of Presbyterian Men is to lead men into a vital relationship with Christ and to assist them in their spiritual, personal, and community development.

Goals

The goals of Presbyterian Men are:

  • To lead men into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ
  • To develop their understanding of the mission of the Church
  • To assist congregations in nurturing men of the Church to mature discipleship
  • To encourage men in the church through their commitment to Christ
  • To fulfill the ministry to which men are called in their families, in their daily work, and in their ministry to other people in the community and the world
  • To involve men of various racial/ethnic backgrounds and men of different ages.

Objectives

The objectives of Presbyterian Men are:

  • to enable men to understand their identity in Christ
  • to deepen the spiritual life of men through Christian fellowship which finds expression in mission
  • to cultivate participation in programs and projects enabling men to serve Christ in their congregations and communities
  • to develop effective leadership skills which men can use to fulfill their ministries where they are
  • to equip men to meet the mission needs and social challenges of a world in need of reconciliation
